Photo-induced ring-opening polymerization of trimethylene carbonate-based liquid resins: Towards biodegradable patterned coatings

چکیده

Patterned coatings based on biodegradable crosslinked poly(ester/carbonate) have been prepared by photo-induced ring-opening polymerization of a liquid bifunctional trimethylene carbonate-based monomer using poly(ε-caprolactone) triol as initiator and guanidine superbase photogenerator activated irradiation at 385 nm. The influence various parameters gel time such components molar ratios, or reaction temperature, has evaluated photorheometry. formulation experimental conditions offering the shortest times were then employed to produce patterned coating stereolithography. Sample thickness proves be independent time, but increases with thus attesting dark polymerization.
